I. LISTENING
1. Discuss the following questions with a partner.
( Ex. 1 / p.23)

The five Olympic rings stand for the five chief regions of the
world: Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. The ring
colours are representative of at least one colour in every
national flag in the world: blue for Europe, yellow for Asia, black
for Africa, green for Oceania, and red for America.

1. Discuss the following questions with a partner.

1. What sports do people do in the Olympics?
2. The Olympic sport below is sometimes called
“the ironman event.” Why?


2. Listen to the interview with an ironman. Tick () the
