who, whom, which, that, whose

Position :
After a noun.
Before a verb, subject + verb
(clause), noun.
*Do not omit who, which, that (Subject)
*Can omit whom, which, that (Object)
*Do not use that and article before noun after whose (Possessive)

Note
• That can’t be used after comma “,” and prepositions
(on, in, at, for, to,………)
• That can be used (after ):
noun includes both person and thing
unclear noun, superlatives
these words nothing, everything, anything ,only ,the first,
the last, all, little, much, none, no one, nobody.
• Comma “,” is used when noun is determined :
Demonstrative + noun : this pen, these pens.
Possessive : adjective (my, your, ….), case (Lan’s,…).
Proper nouns : name of people (Lan, Hoa,…), name of
things (food – hamburger,……. ).

-> The best man that I admire is my father
5. Do you know the man whose a car was stolen yesterday ?
-> Omit article “a”
