London had some serious problems.Those were the days of the Industrial Revolution and
some factories were built in London. Their owners made a lot of money, but the workers were
very poor and lived in crowed slums.Another problem was safety; the streets of London full of
thieves ,beggars and homless people. It wasn’t safe to walk the streets at night. In addition,
London used to be very polluted: the River Thames was full of waste and the streets were often
full of smog( a mixture of fog and smoke from factories and houses) ). The people of London
used to heat their homes with coal fires, which produced clouds of black smoke.
The London of today is a very different city from the London of Queen Victoria’s time.
