During application, spot checks shall be carried out by the Surveyor

In case of deviations all parties involved shall be informed

During final inspection the coating shall be checked at random with
respect to surface irregularities, thickness

Coating protocol shall be verified with respect to completeness and
required signatures

Definition
• Surface preparation is „any method of preparing a surface
for coating“ (ISO 12944-4).
• It is the aim of any surface preparation to reliably remove
matter which deteriorates the adhesion of the coating.
• Surface preparation also reduces the amount of
corrosion - supporting substances.
