A. The objectives
- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to understand the use of adverbs of
manner, modal verb should to give advice and commands, requests and
advice in reported speech. They’ll use the language to give advice and report
the speech.
b. content: Vocabulary: words to talk about study habits: revise, do
grammar exercises, improve, etc; adverbs of manner: softly, fluently, hard,
well, etc
Grammar: Should/ shouldn’t + bare infinitive; S + V + Adv; asked/ told/ advise
+ somebody + to infinitive/ not to infinitive
C. Materials: Pictures, poster, table, OHP, transparencies,
Work arrangements: Individuals, pairs, groups, T-WC
Anticipated problems: Reported speech: personal pronouns in reported
speech may make students confused
