1 Migrating from PRIMAR.PUB to IHO.PUB
To install S-63 1.1 Data the latest IHO certificate (Public Key) will need to be installed in your ECDIS. The
IHO.PUB is located on any AVCS S-63 1.1 Media. To install it please insert the S-63 1.1 Media into your
ECDIS and follow the steps below:

Note: Furuno ECDIS use the IHO.PUB not the IHO.CRT

To load the IHO.PUB Certificate:

1. Select ‘Chart Permits’ from the ‘Chart Menu’ window

2. Select ‘Public Key’

2 Reverting to PRIMAR.CRT
If for any reason the migration to S-63 1.1 fails then the PRIMAR.PUB file will need to be re-installed. To do
this you will need to obtain a copy of the PRIMAR.PUB. If you do not already have a copy then please contact
UKHO customer services () who will be able to supply this to you.
Once received please follow exactly the same process as outlined above however this time browsing to the
location of the PRIMAR.PUB.

Your system will now be in the same state as before attempting the upgrade and you can continue to use
AVCS S-63 1.0 data. However, you should inform your Admiralty Chart Agent of the problems that you
have encountered.
