Topic 6: My favorite newspaper / magazine
My favorite newspaper is The Tuoi Tre. I buy it everyday. It is cheap. It has a lot of
information about the youth, fashion, music, movies, life …The weekly Sunday Too
Tre is very interesting. It is also printed beautifully. Reading becomes my good
habit. My life won’t be meaningful without reading
Topic 7: My learning English experience
There are four skills in learning English. They are listening, speaking, reading and
writing. To improve speaking skill, I often practice speaking with my friends, even
my teacher. Sometimes I have chances to speak English with foreigners. I often
listen to the tapes, English songs or some programs on TV to improve my listening. I
have a lot of chances to improve y reading; I read stories, some passages in
textbooks, I sometimes read newspapers or magazines such as KHPT or
Sunflowers…Writing is not an easy skill. I practice it in many ways; for example, I
practice writing in class and at home, too. I sometimes write to my pen pals in
English. Thanks to these rules, my English becomes better and better.
Topic 8: Things you do in t he evening or at we ekend .
At weekend, I like to take a rest after a hard week work. I like listening to music,
especially soft music, romantic music, I also like reading books or newspapers to
widen my knowledge. In the evening, I watch TV and sometimes I go out with my
friends to enjoy fresh air or chat with my friends on the Internet.
Topic 9 : What was the last movie that you watched ? What was it
about ? Would you like to recommend it to your friends ?
The last movie that I watched was Titanic. It was about the love between Jack and
Rose. They loved each other very much. When the ship sank, he gave his life – jacket
to her. So he died. The actor and actress played very well. The music was great.
There were many beautiful scenes in the film. Although it didn’t have a happy
ending, it was really a good movie. I would recommend it to my friends.
Topic 10: What kinds of birthday present would you like to give and
receive?
On my birthday, I’d like to receive a bunch of flowers, especially roses. I love roses

very much because they are simple, friendly, lovely and really beautiful. On my
friends’ birthday, I’d like to give them school things such as a pen, a school bag,…
Because these gifts are not expensive and they are practical and meaningful.
