This passive structure is used in active sentences which have two objects
(the direct and indirect one). To pass them to passive voice we have to
start with the indirect object.
Example:
ACTIVE:They gave her a lot of money.
PASSIVE: She was given a lot of money.
As you can see in the example we have change the verb into passive voice
(always in the same tense in the active sentence) too. And the direct
object hasn´t changed.
Put these sentences into the
passive voice:
They give her a lot of kisses
everyday.
-------------------------------------
The gardener bought him a big
plant.
-------------------------------------
The kids paid to Miss
Smith the glass they had broken.
-------------------------------------
She offered them a new job.
-------------------------------------

-------------------------------------
Put these sentences into the
passive voice:
He corrected him the exam.
-----------------------------------
They told her the answers.
------------------------------------
He showed me his new shoes.

----------------------
