Present perfect
I.
1. Khi nói về khoảng thời gian chưa kết thúc (the period time which hasn’t finished
yet)
Examples:
• I have eaten 5 apples today
• I have spoken to her several times recently → “recently” là 1 khoảng thời gian chưa kết
thúc, vì vậy ta sử dụng thì HTHT
• She has never been to Italy → “never” means in her life, and her life is unfinished
• We haven’t seen her today = Hôm nay chúng tôi chưa gặp cô ấy (“hôm nay” là khoảng thời
gian chưa kết thúc, có thể còn vài giờ nữa sang ngày mới)
• They have worked really hard this week = Tuần này họ đã làm việc rất chăm chỉ (“tuần
• I have spoken to her several times recently
• I spoke to her a long time ago → Trong trường hợp này, “a long time ago” là khoảng thời
Examples:
• I have lived here since I was born → bây giờ tôi vẫn sống ở đây
• He has known her for 30 years → Bây giờ họ vẫn biết nhau
So sánh với thì QKĐ
• He has known her for 30 years
• He knew her when they were at university → Bây giờ họ không còn biết nhau nữa
Examples:
• I have lost my book → Hiện tại tôi không có sách
• He has eaten too much → Vì ăn quá nhiều, nên hiện tại anh ấy có thể cảm thấy không ổn,
He has eaten too much và bây giờ anh ấy bị đau dạ dày.
So sánh với thì QKĐ
• I have lost my book → tôi muốn tìm lại cuốn sách
Examples:
• Have you sent it to him yet?
• I have already finished everything = Mất ít thời gian để hoàn thành nó hơn tôi dự đoán.
• They have just arrived = Họ vừa mới đến đây
At 18.00, Phuong arrived home.
At 18.01, we can say:
Phuong has just arrived home
Just dùng để chỉ hành động vừa mới xảy ra
