TRAINING PROGRAM OF ENGINEER IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The learning outcomes of the program
1. Requirements of knowledge
Complete the training program of IT branch (according to specialization)
designed according to the general framework of Ministry of Education and
Training, including:
1.1. Knowledge of fundamental education
Having understanding of basic sciences, specially Math, Physics which
are base for basic courses and specialization modules.
1.2. Knowledge of basic specialization
Providing basic knowledge for students:
- Fundamental informatics; Operating system; Open source
- Database; Database management system; Data science
- Program C/C++; Web; Java
- Computer Network; Advanced wireless networks; Computing cloud;
Mobile computing; Network security
- Analyze and design systems; Data structure and algorithm; Computer
architecture; AI
- etc.
1.3. Knowledge of specialization
Providing advanced knowledge of one or some different fields of
specialization:
- Specialization in Software engineering (SE): Software engineering; .NET
programming;

enterprise); Object-oriented Analysis and Design with UML; Test and ensure
software quality; Application development for mobile equipments; Data
mining; Human-machine interaction; Knowledge engineering and machine

- Specialization in Computer network (CN): Network security; Network
programming; Network administration; System administration; CN project;
Network simulation; Network design; Base of message and digital data
transfer; AI network; Graduation practice; Graduation thesis; Optional

mining; Object-oriented Analysis and Design; CS project; .NET programming;
Multimedia database; Game programming on mobile equipment; Semantic

2. Skill requirements
2.1. Hard skills
Special skills; Professional practice ability; Skills of situation processing;
Skills of problem solving etc.
The skills are built based on standard output of training program
determined according to ABET as follows:
- Applied ability of knowledge of Math, science and technique to
problems in ICT fields;
- Power of analysis, design, building and operating information systems
- Faculty of processing of problems related to hardware and software in
organizations, enterprises and groups…
- Capacity of analysis, design, building and operating network systems

- Possibility of scientific research, training of IT at universities, colleges
etc.
- Aptitude of teamwork, communication,
- Ability of using emerge methods, skills and tools for technical practices,
especially in 4.0 industry
2.2. Soft skills
- Output standard of foreign language: B1 (Europe frame)
- Personal profession and quality: creative, self-motivated, earnest and
responsibility of work; ability of self-learning, self-research, self-working;
sustain pressure.
- Teamwork: effective working skills in a team; communicational skills in
writing, presentation, discussion…
3. Requirements of attitude
- Good quality, ethics and professional awareness


- Industrial manners, good organization awareness
- Responsibility awareness with self and social community
- Cooperate, support colleagues in all actions
- Etc.
4. Ability of learning advanced level after graduating
- Ability of learning higher levels such as master or PhD program
- Acquire rapidly new technologies, explore effectively information
resource on Internet
- Upgrade knowledge to undertake higher positions in managing ICT
related fields
5. Jobs position after graduation
IT students can work at:
- Organizations, companies, enterprises, groups develop solutions in ICT
in the country and abroad

- Offices of Ministry/Department of ICT
- Offices in finance and banking fields such as banks, general
department of tax, stock companies…
- Administrative organizations
- Universities, Colleges, Research Institutes
