sein w ere used as the m a in dietary pro tein source to fo rm u la te exper im enta l diets at e ig ht pro te in leve ls. T he re su lts show ed that the re lationsh ip be tw een the feed pro te in requirem ent and the re lativ e m a ss ga in o fBaby lon ia a reo la ta L ink w as pa rabo la reg re ssion. The re la tive
m a ss g ain o f Babylonia a reo la ta reached itsm ax im um w hen the d ie tary pro te in leve lw as up to 43. 10% . (p < 0. 05) T here w as no sig nif-i

cant difference be tw een the diets feed eff ic iency and feed coe fficien tw hen dietary pro te in leve lw as ov er 35. 17% ( p > 0. 05). T he pro tein
e fficiency ratio tended to decrease w ith the increasing dietary pro te in leve .l T he re w as no sign ifican t difference in the surv iv a l rate. (p > 0.
05) . B ased on the ana ly sis o f regression equa tion and using the relative m ass ga in as index, w e cou ld determ ine that the op tim a l pro te in requirem ent o f Ba by lon ia a reo lata L ink shou ld be a t the range o f 36. 47% ~ 43. 10% .
