refining, petroleum marketing, chemicals manufacturing and petroleum logistics.

PURPOSE:
We are engaged in manufacturing of a wide range of petroleum products with the
objective to achieve sustainable productivity, profitability and high standards to
address the environment, health and safety requirements.
HISTORY:
Byco Group was founded by the Founder Chairman, Mr. Parvez Abbasi (Late) in
mid-90’s with the vision to pioneer the change in the energy sector of Pakistan.
With his vision, the company Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited was formed in
January 1995 as public limited company.
BPPL was incorporated in Pakistan as public limited co, on Jan-09-1995 and was
granted with the commencement of business on Mar-13-1995.
The ORC-1 ref. is located in Mouza Kund, HUB established in 2004.


BYCO has current total ref. capacity of 155,000 bpd.
During the year 2007, the Company has launched its fuel marketing activities
managed by the Petroleum Marketing Business (PMB) formerly known as Oil
Marketing Unit having more than 246 retail outlets.
OIL REFINERY COMPLEX I (ORC-I)
The business under Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited has set up an oil refinery –
ORC-I in 2004.
Located 50km from Karachi towards Hub in Balochistan Coastal area of Khalifa
point.
STORAGE CAPACITY
BYCO has a storage tanks facilities at Kemari and Byco refineries complex with
total capacity of 140,000 MT.
Crude oil capacity of 130,000 M.Tonnes at Hub.

Terminal facility at Kemari has a total capacity of 10,000 MT utilized for import
and export of petroleum products mainly aviation fuel.

steadily grow and become a valued contributor to the economy and respected

Our mission is to proactively invest in the development of infrastructure, in order
to become a single source supply chain for meeting the economy’s energy,
petroleum and petrochemical needs thereby providing the best possible return to all
our stakeholders

According to (Byco), Macro environmental analysis is fnd out the external forces that affect accompany
to produce and sell, which are consisted of Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal and
Environmental factors that affect externally a business.

Political Analysis: political factors refer to government policy such as the degree of intervention in
the economy. This might include trading policies, lobbying, inter-countries relations, and … that can
affect the business.

Economic Analysis: Economical factors that might affect a business can be world economy
or national economy of the environment where the business is running

Technological Analysis: Technology is another environmental and external force that
affects a business. In case of Byco, as we can see on many sources of information, such as websites and
newspapers, we can fnd out Byco has the advantage of having advanced technology in deep water
exploration of the oil.



Legal Analysis: Legal factors are those legislations that affect a business, such as employment
law, anti-trust law and etc.

Environmental Analysis: Environment is very important and environmental activists
are playing more important roles in the business. Sometimes the environmental activist can put pressure
to the government and make new legislations.
