It is a trend that more people choose to be selfemployed as they do not want to work for a
company or organization. This essay will show the
reasons as well as some drawbacks of this
tendency.
There are several reasons why self-employed
become more universal. Firstly, people who do not
work under a boss, they can be freely creative. For
instance, in some companies, the inspirations of
artists are always be intervened by their leaders.
Secondly, working for themselves helps them to
earn what they truly deserve. They already know
what they should earn clearly. However, when they
work for others, the boss is often the person who
decides what they have to earn and they always
get less than they could. Thirdly, having their own
business offers better freedom than working for a
company. Since they could decide their own
schedule, they could find the best time for them to
work effectively and balance their life.
Nevertheless, this trend also has some negative
sides. One of the biggest problems is that they
may face financial risks when being self-employed
since they are no longer paid the wages regularly
from their employers. Their salary might rise or fall
suddenly, based on the market situation or other
fees. In addition, people who are self-employed,
are often needed to solve more works and longer


working hours, because they have to deal with all
the problems and find solutions to develop their

business.
In conclusion, although self-employment is
attractive, there still have several disadvantages.
Thus, people should consider carefully to pick the
right choices.
