Unit 10: Test and repair instruments
Task 1:
The instruments used for testing and repair in electronics: voltmeter,
ammeter, ohmmeter, multimeter.
Task 2:
1. It’s logic probe. This instruments is used for measuring voltage levels and
pulses in digital logic circuits.
2. It’s function generator. This instruments is used for testing and adjust a
variety of electronic equipment such as audio amplifiers.
3. It’s oscilloscope. This instruments is used to measure fast-moving signals.
4. It’s multimeter. This instruments is used to measure a number of different
electrical quantities, such as voltage, current, and resistance…
Task 4:
1. The multimeter is used to check a fuse.

2. The oscilloscope is used to determine the frequency response of an audio
amplifier.
3. The logic probe is used to test for the presence of a control signal on the
output pin of a computer chip.
