USA.

Activity 1: Pre-teaching vocabulary

Ask: What do you call the home for children whose parents
are dead?

Show a picture of a mower and ask Ss to fill in the gap with

Ask Ss to work in groups of four or five to discuss the following
questions:

+ What kind of volunteer work do you usually do at school?
+ What do you usually do in each kind of volunteer work?
Go around the class to listen and help the groups with
vocabulary.
Have some representatives report their groups’s ideas.
Give comments.
E. HOMEWORK
Ask Ss to write a short a paragraph, answering the question:
“Why do people do volunteer work?”
