Minh arrived England in May last year, and by the end of the year he spoke
quite good English at first it was very difficult, of course, and in the summer he
spent a lot of time with other Italians so his English didn’t improve a lot, but by the
end of August he hasn’t spoken much Italian because most of his friends come
from France and Germany or Japan. He love travelling around, so on Christmas he
went to Scotland for ten days, and in a couple of weeks he is going on holiday with

Last weekend, Mr and Mrs Lam took their children back to their home
village about 10 kilometers from Dalat. The village lies at the foot of a hill where
peole plant a lot of vegetables.
Mr Lam’s parents have lived there for nearly fifty years. Their house is at
the centre of the village. It’s a nice house built of brick, located in the middle of the
garden. Their bedroom look out over tha yard behind the house where various
