English alphabet, practice with structure " how do you spell it?"

II .Checking-up: T asks Ss some questions:
What is your name?
How are you?
Where do you live?
III.New lesson:

A. Revision:
I. Listen and repeat:
-T lets Ss listen to the ABC song.
And then asks Ss to repeat the ABC
-T calls some Ss read the alphabet
in chorus and then in individual.
II. Rub out and remember dialogue:
-T puts a short dialogue on the
board.
What's your name?

My name's Lan.
How do you spell it?
L-A-N Lan.
T reads sentence by sentence and
asks Ss to repeat in chorus.
T rubs out some of the words.
-T presents the target language.

B. Practice:
I. Listen and repeat:
-T asks Ss to repeat in chorus and
then individual.
II. Practice spelling their name
Ss listen to the ABC song and
then repeat the alphabet.
-Ss read in chorus and then
individual.
Ss practice saying it.
Ss have to remember the rubbed
out words and keep practising the
dialogue.
Ss copy down.
Ss repeat.
Ss work in pairs.

III. Word cues drill:
-T selects 6 words as cues for the
target item.
-T goes through the vocab and
makes sure all Ss know the vocab.
-T holds up the first word and says
model sentence.

C. Further - practice: Writing.
-T asks Ss to answer 4 questions in
their exercise book.
