A. Warm- up:
T gives some situations and students make questions.
Situation 1:
You are waiting for the letter from your friend. When you see a postman, what will
you aks him?
→ Do I have any letters today?
Group work
Situation 2:
Your friend have just come back from a long journey. What will you aks them?
→ Did you have a good holiday?
T calls some students to read these questions.
T introduces the new lesson: The rising tune
B. New lesson:
* Pronunciation:
Task 1:
T guides students to read the rising tune at the end of the sentences.
Students practice reading in pairs .
Take note : The rising tune is used in Ye s- No questions.
Pair work
Task 2:
Students read through the sentences in the textbook.


T plays the tape . Students repeat after the tape.
T corrects the mistakes.
* Grammar and vocabulary:
Phrasal verbs.
T lets students discuss to list out phrasal verbs they know.
T checks and writes on the board the answers.
