Bài 1. Chia động từ.
A/ Thời hiện tại đơn giản (The present simple tense)
1- Động từ to be: là, thì, bị, ở, đợc, .
a) Câu khẳng định:
I + am + .
He/ She/ It/ Danh từ số ít + is + .
We/ You/ They/ Danh từ số nhiều + are + .
b) Câu phủ định:
I + am not + .
He/ She/ It/ Danh từ số ít + is not + .
We/ You/ They/ Danh từ số nhiều + are not + .
c) Câu hỏi: Đa động từ to be lên trớc chủ ngữ của câu.
Am (am not) + I + . ?
Is (is not) + He/ She/ It/ Danh từ số ít + . ?
Are (are not) + We/ You/ They/ Danh từ số nhiều + . ?
Bài tập. Chia các động từ to be sau đây.
1. Ba (be). a student.
2. Hoa and Nga (be). in grade 6.
3. They (not be). teachers.
4. She (be). twelve years old?
5. The windows (be). green.
2- Động từ to have: có
a) Câu khẳng định:
I/ We/ You/ They/ Danh từ số nhiều + have + .
He/ She/ It/ Danh từ số ít + has + .
b) Câu phủ định:
I/ We/ You/ They/ Danh từ số nhiều do not (dont) + have + .
He/ She/ It/ Danh từ số ít does not (doesnt) + have + .
c) Câu hỏi:

Do/ Dont + I/ we/ you/ they/ danh từ số nhiều + have + .?
Does/ Doesnt + he/ she/ it/ danh từ số ít + have + .?
Bài tập. Chia các động từ to have sau đây.
1. Hung (have). a lot of books.
2. We (not have). English on Fridays.
3. How many classes your school (have).?
4. My house (have). three rooms.
5. Mr. and Mrs. Nam (have). two children.

3- Động từ thờng:
a) Câu khẳng định:
I/ We/ You/ They/ Danh từ số nhiều + V- infinitive (động từ nguyên thể không có to) + .
He/ She/ It/ Danh từ số ít + V-s (động từ thêm s) + .
He/ She/ It/ Danh từ số ít + V-es (động từ thêm es) + .
(Khi động từ có chữ cái cuối là s, sh, ch, x, z và o ví dụ nh: go, watch, wash, ...)
He/ She/ It/ Danh từ số ít + V-ies (động từ thêm ies) + .
(Khi động từ có chữ cái cuối là y mà trớc y là 1 phụ âm ta đổi y thành i rồi thêm es ví dụ nh: fly, study,
)

b) Câu phủ định:
I/ We/ You/ They/ Danh từ số nhiều do not (dont) + V- infinitive (động từ nguyên thể không có to) + .
He/ She/ It/ Danh từ số ít does not (doesnt) + V- infinitive (động từ nguyên thể không có to) + .
c) Câu hỏi:
Do/ Dont + I/ we/ you/ they/ danh từ số nhiều + V- infinitive (động từ nguyên thể không có to) + .?
Does/ Doesnt + he/ she/ it/ danh từ số ít + V- infinitive (động từ nguyên thể không có to) + .?
Bài tập. Chia các động từ sau đây.
1. We often (go). to school at 12 oclock.
2. He (watch). TV in the morning.
3. Nam usually (listen). to music after school.
4. Minh (study). Math at school.

5. They(not play). soccer. They (play). volleyball.
Bài 2. Các từ để hỏi (question words).
What: cái gì
What time ? Dùng để hỏi về giờ giấc.
Where: ở đâu
Which: cái nào, vật nào,
When: khi nào, bao giờ
Why: vì sao, tại sao
Who: ai, ngời nào
How: nh thế nào?
How + adj (tính từ) . ?
How old ? bao nhiêu tuổi?
How many ? bao nhiêu?(dùng với danh từ số nhiều)
How much ? bao nhiêu? (dùng với danh từ không đếm đợc)
How high ? độ cao bao nhiêu?
How thick ? bề dày bao nhiêu?
How long ? độ dài là bao nhiêu? hoặc trong thời gian bao lâu?
How often ?: Dùng để hỏi tính thờng xuyên của một hành động nào đó, câu trả lời thờng kèm theo các
từ nh: always, usually, often, sometimes, never, once, twice, times, v.v.
Bài tập. Điền vào mỗi chỗ trống một từ hoặc cụm từ để hỏi thích hợp.(Lu ý: Cần quan sát kỹ câu trả
lời trớc khi điền)

Bài 3. Các giới từ (Prepositions).
a) Giới từ chỉ thời gian: on, at
- On: đặt trớc một ngày cụ thể ( VD: on May 19
th
, on March 8
th
,) hoặc một thứ cụ thể trong tuần
(nh on Monday, on Tuesday, on the weekend, )
- At: đặt trớc một giờ cụ thể nào đó (VD: at five oclock, at half past six, )
b) Giới từ chỉ nơi chốn, địa điểm: on, in, at, to the left, to the right, in front of, behind, between
and , near, next to.
L u ý :
- On(ở, ở tại): đặt trớc tên phố (VD: on Tran Hung Dao Street, on Trang Tien Street,.)
- At(ở, ở tại): đặt trớc tên phố có số nhà kèm theo (VD: at 124 Le Loi Street,)
- In(ở, ở tại): đặt trớc một địa danh (in the city, in the country,), tên một địa danh (in Huong
Lam, in Hiep Hoa, in Bac Giang,)
Bài tập. Chọn một từ phù hợp để hoàn thành câu.

Bài 4. Chuyển đổi câu/ Viết lại câu sao cho ý nghĩa câu không thay đổi.
Dạng thứ nhất: There are/ is + số từ + danh từ + in + tên địa điểm = Tên địa điểm + has + số
từ + danh từ.
Ví dụ:
-There are thirty students in my class = My class has thirty students.
-Hoas house has four rooms = There are four rooms in Hoas house.
-There is a garage in his building = His building has one/ a garage.

I. Đọc đoạn văn , trả lời câu hỏi :
1 Linh is twelve years old . He is in grade 6. He lives in a house with his mother , father and sister . Their
house is next to a bookstore . In the neighborhood ,there is a restaurant , a market and a stadium . Linh’s
father works in a restaurant . His mother works in a market . Linh goes to school every morning . He has
classes from seven to fifteen past eleven.
Every morning , Linh gets up at six. He washes his face and brushes his teeth. At six –thirty he eats
breakfast , then he goes to school . At twelve thirty , he goes home and has lunch . In the afternoon , he plays
soccer . In the evening , he does his homework , then watches television.
