<b>I. OBJECTIVES:</b>


<b>1. Aims: - At the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:</b>


<i>- Use “can/could ...; certainly, of course...” to ask for favors, offer</i>
assistance and practise responding.


- Listen to understand a children/<sub>s song</sub>
<b>2. Knowledge:</b>


<i><b>* Grammar: Asking for favors, offering assistance and practising</b></i>
<i><b>responding.</b></i>


<b>3. Skills: Speaking, listening & writing</b>
<b>II. PREPARATION:</b>


<b>1. Teacher: Lesson plan, posters, textbook, cassete, CD.</b>
<b>2. Students: </b>


- Prepare: Speak and Listen - P.55-56
+ Strutures to ask for and respond to favors
+ Structures to offer and respond to assistance
<b> III. PROCEDURES:</b>


<b>1. Checking: Call on one student to talk about their personal</b>
information, using the information in their Form

- Hangs on the cues on page 56 and ask
Ss to build up the dialogues in pairs.
- Asks Ss to show their ideas to the front.
<b>- Helps Ss to correct if necessary</b>


<b>III. POST-SPEAKING: </b>


<i><b>Listening to the song and fill in the gaps</b></i>


- Asks Ss be about listening to the text
about the children/<sub>s song.</sub>


- Plays the tape twice for Ss to listen and
do the task.


- Gets feedback and plays the tape once
again and checks the information.
