ABSTRACT:
This study is to identify factors affecting the motivation of employees return to work in Can
Tho City after taking part in overseas ttaining programs. The study was carried out by
surveying 192 employees working for government departments, enterprises and universities
located in Can Tho City. The study used two main analytical methods, numely explanatory
factor analysis (EFA) and hnear regression analysis. The regression analysis shows that the
two most influential factors in the work motivation of overseas-trained employees were job
characteristics and co-workers. In addition, factors including remuneration, promotion
opportunities and self-expression needs also affect the work motivation of overseas-trained
employees.
