 1. Knowledges:

By the end of the lesson, ss will have a good chance to review:
- The present and past simple tense (irregular verbs)

- The present simple to talk about general truths
- “be (not) + adj + enough + to – infinitive”

Complete the paragraphs using the past simple or present simple

Complete the dialogues using the verbs in the box and (not) + adj + enough
 + Vocabulary: review the vocabulary of builds and characters

+ Structures: Present simple and past simple, “(not) + adj + enough”

I. Present simple to talk about general truths
- It is used to express an action which is always
true

1.To be :

Aff. : He /she / it / singular N + is
I + am

We / you / they /plural N + are
Neg. : “am/is/are” + not

Inter. : Is/Am/ Are + S ...?
2.Ordinary verbs :

Aff. : He / she / it / singular N + V/s-es.
 I / We / you / they / plural N + V-inf.

Neg.: He / she / it / singular N + doesn’t +
 I / We / you / they / plural N + don’t +V
Inter. : Do / Does + S + V ?

3. To have :

 Aff. : He / she / it / singular N + has
 I / We / you / they / plural N + have
 Neg . : S + do / does + not + have.

 Inter. : Do / does + S + have ?

*Uses :express a habit. (always, usually. Often,
sometimes, rarely, seldom, never, …

II. Past simple :
1.To be :

 Aff. : I / He / she / it / singular N + was
 We / you / they / plural N + were
2.Ordinary verbs :

 Aff. : S + V-ed/2

 Neg. : S + didn’t + V(inf.)
 Inter. : Did + S + V(inf.) ?

Note: The past simple tense is usually used with

yesterday, last (year), ago, in + ..

T reminds students note the adverbs that are used
in present simple (every/ always/ usually..), past
simple ( last/ ago/ yesterday..)

III. (not) adjective + enough + to – infinitive
 S + V(s/es) + enough + N + (for s.o) + to V
S + V + adv + enough (for..) + to V

Enough stands after adj and adv but before N
Example : She is old enough to see that film .
She is not clever enough to this thing.
Activity 2: Practice

- Ask them to read the words in the box .
