Clothes can tell a lot about a person. Some people like very colorful
clothes because they want every one to look at them and they want to be the

center of things. Other people like to wear nice clothes, but their clothes are
not colorful or fancy. They do not like people to look at them. Clothes today
are very different from the clothes of the 1800s. One difference is the way
they look. For example, in the 1800s all women wore dresses. The dresses all
had long skirts. But today women do not always wear dresses with long skirts.

Indonesia is the biggest country in South East Asia and an
important member of ASEAN. It is made up of many islands in the
South China Sea. In some places it is close to Singapore and Malaysia,
in others it is close to Australia.
It has a tropical climate and it has many active volcanoes some
of which cause a lot of damage when they erupt. Its population is the
largest of all Asian countries. It has a population of more than 185
million people and more than 90 million live on island of Java. The
capital of Jakarta and other important cities include: Jog Jakarta, Median
and Surabaya. Because it has so many islands it has a long coastline and
very few borders. In fact its only border is on the island of Borneo
between the state of Kalimantan and the Malaysia states of Sarawak and
Saba.

Many people now think that teachers give students too much
homework. They say that it is unnecessary for children to work at home in
their free time. Moreover, they argue that most teachers do not properly plan
the homework task they give to students. The result is that students have to
repeat tasks which they have already done at school.
Most people agree that they homework is unfair. A student who can do
his homework in a quiet and comfortable room is in a much better position
than a student who does his homework in a small, noisy room with the
television on. Other parents take no interest at all in their children’s
homework.
It is important, however, that teachers talk to parents about homework.
A teacher should suggest suitable tasks for parents to do with their children.
Parents are often at teaching their own children!
