real world. You can still chat online, but
you should try to see each other in person
at least once a week.

2 I haven't seen my best friend in real life for
three weeks. We send each other texts on our
mobile phones ever/ day, and we chat on the
internet for hours. But I'm starting to forget
what she looks like.

B Oh dear - this sounds like true addiction.
But remember many teenage boys are
uncommunicative, so don't feel too bad!
Send him text messages and emails, but
talk to him too - even if he doesn't answer
you! Keep trying.

3 My teenage son barely talks to me. The only
other methods of communication he uses are
sending text messages on his mobile phone

write a diary, or send your friends and
family greeting cards.

There are three common causes of teen's stress. First, it is the constant pressure do well at school to live up to their
parent's aspirations. If a teen is academically strong, then there is a normal pressure to maintain performance, or if
he/she is not ' at studies, the pressure increases in order to perform well. Second, it is the social ss. Teens have to
learn to interact socially and adjust in this highly complicated Id when reaching adolescence and they are confused
about what to do. Finally, it is the financial stress. Teens do not have to earn money to feed themselves, but ere is
any financial strain in the family, it sometimes becomes difficult for a teen handle. In short, teen stress may come
from three sources above.

If you want to reduce some stress, you can reduce this by the word S-T-R-E-S-S, t's stress.

Let's begin with the 'S' - 'scheduling' For example, you don't have to schedule too many things in your day. If you
feel you are too busy, you can cut out an activity or two.

Next, the 'T' word? - 'treat your body well', because experts say that exercise can reduce stress and also if you eat
healthy food, then your brain and your body get the nourishment they need.

The next word is 'R' - 'relax'. You can do an activity you enjoy or that relaxes you, maybe you can read a good
book or learn a new hobby.

Next 'E' - 'E' is about expectations. Be realistic about yourself, be true to yourself and others. So you can just do
your best and don't try to be perfect and don't expect others to be too...
