In the first half, both teams played well. They had many
chances to score goals. Unfortunately, there were no goals. The
first half ended with a tie.

During the break, our coach encouraged his players and
asked them to try their best. Our boys promised to win the game.

gave a straight shot into the goal. The opponent’s goalkeeper
guessed the direction, but he failed to save a shot struck at such
close range. One goal was scored. Most of the spectators
jumped up and cheered.

After that our boys had to work quite hard to keep the ball
out off our goal. The opponents played well, they had the ball
most of the time and had a lot of opportunities to make a goal.
Unluckily, they were not successful.

One minute before the end of the match, our captain cut the
pass of an opponent’s attacker. He passed the ball through 3
opponents and gave a kick straight into the goal. The goalkeeper
slipped and fell. So, he couldn’t touch the ball. One more goal
was made. All the stadium burst into applause.

Our school’s football team won the game with the score 2- 0.
It was a wonderful and memorable match. We left the stadium
