- Learn and practise reading skills.

- Listening, speaking, reading, writing.
<b>3. Attitude:</b>
- Encourage Ss to use the structure more regulary.
<b>II. Teaching aids: </b>
- Book, CD, phonics cards, paper including the lyrics of the chant.
<b>III. Method:</b>
- Model – Talk - Practice, individual work, pairs work, group work.
- Some techniques can be used: Craftwork. Mime the Word.

<b>2. Warm up (5’) </b>
<i><b>Activity:</b><b>Form a line game</b></i>
- Put up the phonics cards on the board.
- Have 3 student volunteers.
- Hand out the pieces of paper to the students.
- T says: Form a line; then Ss line up in front of the board in the same order as the
phonics cards.
- Repeat the procedure with another group of students.

- Encourage the students to do the same

- Ask Ss listen, point to and repeat the word
- Name some colours and ask the students to
repeat
- Ask Ss colour the pictures which have Ee in
them
- Give time for Ss to colour in the ‘egg’ and
<i>‘elephant’ that have Ee in them.</i>

- Ask Ss to take out their notebooks
- Ask Ss to choose one word the draw the
letter and the picture in their notebooks.
- Tell Ss to colour the letter and the picture.

<b>2. Warm up (5’) </b>
<i><b>Activity: Jump game</b></i>
- Put a line of masking tape on the floor and designate one side True and the other
False.
- Hold up a phonics card, e.g. egg and say: egg. Then students jump on the True side.
- Hold up another phonics card, e.g. elf and say: ant. Then students jump on the False
side.
- The students who end up on the wrong side sit out until the next game.

- Have the class repeat its sound chorally, then
individually
- Have the students say the sound individually,
correct the pronunciation if necessary

- Demonstrate how to write the big E by stroke
- Draw an example of letter E using dashed
lines
- Use a different colored chalk to model
tracing the letter E.
- Have some students practice tracing letter E
on the board.
- Have students trace letter E in the books.
- Students say after each finished letter.
