Lesson 1: Part 4, 5, 6
I. Objectives:

1. Knowledge: After the lesson, the student will be able to ask and answer 
question about what story /book someone is reading.

Sentence patterns: What are you reading ? I’m reading ………

Vocabulary: The fox and crow, the story of Mai An TiEm, Aladin and the Magic 
Lamp, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, ghost, scary.

2. Skill:

- Practice listening, speaking skills.
3. Attitude:

- Encourage Ss to have good consciousness in order to read book/story everyday.
II. Teaching- aids

- Student’s book, recording, fresh cards, posters.
III. Methods:

- Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work, group work.
- Some techniques can be used: slap the board.

2. Warm up and Review (5’)

*Activity: Bean bag circle

- Have Ss play the game: passing ball to introduce themselves.

3. New lesson:

Set the scence: Ask Ss to open their book on page 
53 and tells them that they are going to listen to the
recording and tick the correct pictures.

- Asks Ss to exchange their answer with partners
before reporting them to the class.

- T asks Ss to read out the answer.

Pre-teach.

- T asks Ss to open their book on page 53 asks
them that they are going to read and complete
- Asks Ss to read the text and words

- Ss read the text

- Ss discuss and fill in the blank
- Compare with your partner
- Ss read their answer to the class.
- T monitors and correct their mistake.

- T ask three ss to read aloud.

* Activity 3: Let’s play (9’)

*Guessing game

- Ask Ss to prepare a piece of paper.

- Teacher writes the sentence on the board.

- Ss complete the sentence on their own and keep it
secret.

- Then ask a S to go to the front.

- The others guess by asking these questions
+ Is it a..(name of a story/ book)?

+ Is it fairy tale ?

Is the main character a girl/ boy?

- T calls somes groups perform before the class.
- T listen and give feedback.

2. Skill:

- Practice listening, speaking skills

- Help ss to have good consciousness in order to love the character in story.
