2. Vietnam has been facing brain drain in some recent decades.

1. Vietnamese government does not value them as much as other

countries do.
It seems that Vietnamese government ignore good performers in
education. They pay less attention to abroad studying student. That is the
reason why they decide to live overseas for the rest of their lives.
2. They get low-paid jobs if they head back home.
Thanks to their knowledge, there is no doubt that they will get good jobs
with high salary if they work. However, thing will be different since the
day they head back to Vietnam, they will not be treated as they should
have been.
3. Vietnamese environment is not as good as other countries’
environments.
Vietnamese working conditions are far from being good compared to that
of other countries ranging from facilities, working hours, working
pressure,..
4. They have many chances to get promotion based on their own

Living and working overseas also means that they get more chances to
relax themselves, getting to know more about the world.
3. Road bullying is a common sight in many traffic settings. What

1. Vehicle controllers are in bad mood.
They have just got fired at work, or some more negative news which
make them so angry. That is the reason why they bully other people on
the street.
2. That is a natural reaction of nearly being involved in accident.
They behave like that to blame other people on their wrong movement on
road, which makes them almost hurt and involved in accidents.
3. Anger is their in-blood manner, their personality.

They are born with anger in blood. No matter who is right, no matter who
is wrong, they are willing to yell and badmouth others.

Bullying others on the street showing that they did right. Therefore, they

Some people think that if they shout at other people’ faces, it shows their

1. They have more time to think what they really want to do for their

It always take a lot of time for one to decide which way is the best for
them to have a better future.

A year after high school or college is always a good time to explore more.
They can travel with their friends, their families or even alone, going to
many destinations to find out who they truly are.
3. They have time to prepare carefully for their jobs.
After graduation, they need time to get everything ready to get the best
job out of all. In order to do so, they have to invest time, which means
take a gap year, to set everything perfectly before launching.
4. They will forget their specialized knowledge.
Studying and working in a row or continuously will make one feel easier
to be familiar with new job because knowledge is still in their minds. On
the contrary, they will forget lots of things if they pause their time too
long.
5. A gap year after college means no work, no money.

If they decide to pause their lives for a moment, they have to find another
way to make ends meet because that is the time they have nothing in their
pockets. No job, no money.
5. The multi-level marketing (MLM) is growing and its member
companies are multiplying. Should Vietnamese government
ban this business model?
YES
1. Many students are defrauded by these companies.
It is a common scene seeing members coming from MPM companies try
to engage naive students to join in their business. Those students will be
distracted from studying. Instead, they will be more interested in making
money.
2. Many people have illusion about the amount of money they can get
after joining in this business.
Making money turns out to be super-duper easy in these people’ eyes.
How ridiculous it is when they think that they just need to invest one and
eventually, they get ten or even more than that without doing anything.
3. They abandon their families to be whole-heartedly involved in this
business.
It is a waste of time being involved in this kind of business. A lot of
members in MPM companies leave their homes, their families to devote
themselves as much as they can.
4. They will end up with getting nothing and losing almost everything.
Being a part in this kind of company is the shortest way to lose
everything. First, money. Second, time. Losing these two important
features means losing everything, in brief.
5. They defraud other innocents.
From the beginning of the process, they are victims. However, when it is

progresses, they become those who defraud others.

+ Consulting your friends is one of the best ways to be a smart consumer.
+ They can short-list which shops you should choose for real products.

5. A report by UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme)
states that human populations have been over-exploiting the
Earth’s natural resources by unsustainable development. As a
developing country, Vietnam has also been undergoing
unsustainable development. Discuss some major causes and


effects of this social issue in the context of Vietnam. Give
reasons and examples from your reading, experience, or
observations to support your point of view.

a) Some minerals cannot be produced by humankind.
+ We cannot reproduce oil, gas, coal, ... because it takes time with heat
and pressure deep in the earth to generate.
+ Fossil fuels and metals are the ones of concern currently. These cannot
be created and do not naturally return to their original forms.
b) The higher number of people, the higher demand for natural

resources.
+ Human population is rapidly increasing every day
+We are living in a modern era, so resources are very crucial to meet our
needs.
c) People are taking natural resources for granted.
+ We just simply take them away the Earth’s mother without realizing
that they cannot be renewable.
+We think that natural resources are always available; therefore, we have
never thought about how bad the consequences could be.
d) Effect: lack of resources for the next generation.


+ Over-exploiting means the more we use, the less resources our next
generation have.
+ It may cause to many more problems leading to our future
development.
e) Effect: people have to suffer from higher resources expenses.
+ As we do not have enough resources, its cost will rise higher than ever.
+Although minerals and other resources are over-exploiting and its
quantity is reducing, people are still in high demand. Thus, we must pay
higher to get them.
