I/ QUESTION WORDS (CÁC TỪ ĐỂ HỎI)
1. WHAT:(gì, cái gì)
a/ Dùng để hỏi về vật, cái gì đây/ kia
-Số ít:
What is this / that?
 It is + a/ an + noun ( sing.N )
-Số nhiều : What are these / those?  They are + noun ( plu. N )
Ex: What is this/ that? It is a chair
What are these/ those? They are chairs.
b/ Dùng để hỏi ai đó làm nghề gì.
- What do / does + S + do?
 S + am/ is/ are + ( a/ an ) + nghề nghiệp.
Ex: What do you do? I am a student.
What does Hoa do? She is a doctor.
c/ Dùng để hỏi tên.
- What is your/ his / her name?
 My/ His /Her name is + tên.
Ex: What is his name?His name is Nam.
d/ Dùng để hỏi ai đó có mơn học gì vào ngày hơm nay, thứ 2, thứ 3 v.v......
-What + do / does + S + have today? / on Monday/ Tuesday…?
 S + have / has + Môn học ( Subject).
Ex: - What do you have today?
 I have English, math and history.
- What does she have on Tuesday?  She has math, literature and English.
e/ Dùng để hỏi xem ai đó làm gì vào mỗi sáng, mỗi chiều, mỗi tối, sau giờ học ởø trường
- What do/ does + S + do+ every morning / afternoon/ evening/ after school?
S +
V/ V-s/es…+ every morning / afternoon/ evening/ after school.
Ex: What do you / they do every morning?  I / They go to school every morning.
What does he/ she do every morning?  She/ He goes to school every morning.

f/ Dùng để hỏi giờ
- What time is it?  It is + giờ + o’clock.( giờ chẵn)
It is + giờ + phút.
It is + phút + past + giờ. ( giờ hơn)

Ex: What time is it?( Mấy giờ rồi vậy?)
 It is ten o’clock.( 10 giờ)
It’s a quater to six.( 6 giờ kém 15’)
It is ten fifteen.( 10 giờ 15 phút) It is half past ten.( 10 giờ rưỡi)
g/ Dùng để hỏi và trả lời xem ai đó làm gì vào lúc mấy giờ.
- What time + do/ does + S + V. . .?
S + V/ V-s/es +. . . at + (time).
Ex: What time does Lan get up?( Lan thức dậy vào lúc mấy giờ vậy?)
She gets up at six o’clock.( Cô ấy thức dậy vào lúc 6 giờ.)
What time do they get up?( Họ thức dậy vào lúc mấy giờ vậy?)
They get up at six.( Họ thức dậy vào lúc 6 giờ.)
h/ Dùng để hỏi có cái gì đằng trứơc, đàng sau, bên cạnh,gần, bên trái v.v..... nhà bạn và của người
nào đó.

In front of / Behind / Next to / To the left of / To the right of... + my/ his/ her/ their
house,there is a/ an + Danh từ số ít.

there are + Danh từ số nhiều.
Ex: What is in front of your house?(Trứơc nhà bạn có cái gì vậy?)
In front of my house, there is a yard.( Trước nhà tơi, có 1 cái sân.)
What are behind your house?( Sau nhà bạn có những cái gì vậy)

Behind my house,there are flowers.( Sau nhà tơi, có những bơng hoa.)
2. WHERE:(ở đâu)
a/ Dùng để hỏi xem bạn hoặc ai đó sống ở đâu.
- Where + do/ does + S + live?
 S + live/ lives + in / on / at . . .
Ex: Where does Lan live? ( Lan sống ở đâu vậy?)
She lives in the city.( Cô ấy sống ở thành phố.)
Where do they live? ( Họ sống ở đâu vậy?)
They live on Le Loi street.( Họ sống ở đường Lê Lợi.)
b/ Dùng để hỏi xem bạn hoặc ai đó làm việc ở đâu.
- Where + do / does + S + work?
 S + work / works + in + nơi làm việc.
Ex: Where do you work?( Bạn làm việc ở đâu vậy?)
I work in the museum.( Tôi làm việc ở bảo tàng.)
Where does Lan’s father work?( Bố của Lan làm việc ở đâu vậy?)
He works in the factory.( ông ấy làm việc ở nhà máy.)
c/ Dùng để hỏi vị trí của vật.
- Where is + singular noun?
 It is + (pre)...
- Where are + plural noun?
 They are + (pre)...
Ex: Where is the well?( Cái giếng ở đâu vậy?)
It is to the left of the house.( Nó ở bên trái ngôi nhà.)
Where are the trees?( Những cái cây ở đâu vậy?)
They are opposite the bakery.( Chúng ở đối diện tiệmbánh mì.)
e/ Dùng để hỏi xem bạn hoặc ai đó đang đi đâu:
- Where + is / are + S + going?
 S + am/ is / are + going to...
Ex : Where are you going ?- I’m going to the market.
Where is he going ?- He is going to school.

Where is she going ?- She is going to the zoo.
3. HOW
a/ Dùng để hỏi về tuổi
- How old are you?
 I am +( tuổi) .
- How old is he/ she?
 He / She is +( tuổi).
Ex: How old are you? – I am eleven years old.
How old is he? – He is eleven.
b/ Dùng để hỏi về sức khỏe
- How are you?
I am fine, thank you.And you?
c/Dùng để hỏi cách đánh vần tên của bạn và ai đó
How do you spell your / her / his name?
Từng chữ cái, tên đầy đủ.
d/ Dùng để hỏi về số lượng
How many + N-s/es + are there. . .?  There is + singular noun.
There are + plural noun.
Ex: How many doors are there ? - There are four doors.
How many couches are there ? – There is one.
How many people are there in your family?( Có bao nhiêu người trong nhà của bạn?)
There are four people in my family.(Có 4 người trong gia đình mình.)
e/ Dùng để hỏi xem bạn và người nào đó có bao nhiêu đồ vật hoặc thứ gì đó.

- How many + N-s/es + do / does + S + have?
 S + have / has + số lượng + sing. noun / plu. noun.
Ex: How many books does he have?  He has six books.
How many pens do you have ?

 I have one pen.
f/ Dùng để hỏi bạn và người nào đó đi lại/ đến nơi nào đó bằng phương tiện gì.
How do / does + S + go / travel . . . ?
 S + go / goes / travel / travels …+ by +( phương tiện) .
Ex: How does Lan go to school?
How do they travel to work?
She goes to school by bike.
They travel to work by bus.
4. WHICH:(nào, cái nào)
a/ Dùng để hỏi xem bạn và người nào đó học lớp nào, khối nào.
- Which class / grade + is / are + S + in?
 S + am/ is/ are + in + tên lớp/ tên khối.
Ex: Which class is he in ? He is in class 6 A.
Which grade are you in? I am in grade 6.
b/ Dùng để hỏi bạn và người nào đó có lớp học mơn gì / mơn gì vào các thứ trong tuần.
- Which classes + do/does + S + have + on + thứ trong tuần ?/
What + do / does + S + have + on + thứ trong tuần?
 S + have/ has + tên môn học + (class) +on + thứ trong tuần.
Ex: Which classes does he have on Monday?( Anh ấy có lớp học mơn gì vào thứ 2 vậy?)
He has English class on Monday.( Anh ấy có lớp học môn Tiếng Anh vào ngày thứ 2.
5. WHEN (Khi nào?)
Dùng để hỏi bạn và người nào đó khi nào có mơn học nào đó trong tuần.
- When + do/ does + S + have + tên môn học?
 S + have/ has + it + on + thứ trong tuần.
Ex: When do you have Math ?(Bạn có mơn Tốn vào thứ mấy vậy?)
I have it on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.( Mình có Tốn vào ngày thứ 2,4 và 6.)
6.WHO (Hỏi về ngừơi: ai)
- Who is + this/ that/ he/ she?  This / that / He/ She + is + tên người
- Who are + these/ those/ they?  They + are + tên người.
Ex: Who are they?  They are Minh and Nam.

II/ .TENSES ( CÁC THÌ )
1. SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE ( THÌ HIỆN TẠI ĐƠN)
ĐỘNG TỪ “TOBE”( thì, là, ở )
- TOBE chia ở thì hiện tại đơn là : am, is, are
- Khi chủ ngữ là : + I  am
+ He/ She/ It / Danh từ và tên riêng số ít  is
+ They/ We/ Danhtừ và tên riêng số nhiều  are
THỂ KHẲNG ĐỊNH : S + am / is / are ...
Ex: She is a student.( Cô ấy là một học sinh.)
THỂ PHỦ ĐỊNH : S + am not / isn’t / aren’t.
Ex: She isn’t a student .( Cô ấy không phải là một học sinh.)
THỂ NGHI VẤN: Is / Are + S ....?( Yes-No question )
Yes, S + am / is / are.
No, S + am not / isn’t / aren’t.
Ex: Is he a doctor? ( Có phải ơng ấy là bác sĩ không?)
- Yes, he is. / No, he isn’t.
Khi trong câu ở thể khẳng định khơng có chứa động tưØ “TOBE “mà chỉ chứa động từ thường
thì khi chuyển câu sang thể phủ định và nghi vấn phải mượn trợ động từ “ DO/ DOES”
ĐỘNG TỪ THƯỜNG ( ORDINARY VERBS)
*Forms:

1/ Affirmative form: S + V / V-s/es ( Riêng động từ HAVE: have/ has)
Ex : I play games.
He goes to school in the morning.
2/ Negative form: S + don’t / doesn’t + V-infi.
Ex: I don’t play games.
He doesn’t go to school in the morning.
3/ Interrogative form: Do/ Does + S +V-infi ?( Yes-No question )

Yes, S + do/ does./ No, S + don’t / doesn’t.
Ex: Do you play games? – No, I don’t.
Does he go to school? – Yes, he does.
*Usage:
Diễn tả một sự việc xảy ra ở hiện tại, hoặc một sự việc lập đi lập lại, một thói quen, một
chân lý hiển nhiên.
*Signals: everyday/ week/ morning, always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, never..
*Notes: - Nếu chủ ngữ là ngơi thứ 3 số ít, hầu hết các động từ thường phải thêm” s”hoặc”es”
Động từ tận cùng là o, sh, ch, x, s, ss khi chia với ngôi thứ 3 số ít thì phải thêm”es”
Ex: We often go to school in the morning.
She goes to school by bike everyday.
- Động từ tận cùng là “y” phải đổi thành “i” trước khi thêm “es”
( ngoại trừ trước “y” là một nguyên âm thì khơng thay đổi mà chỉ thêm”s” )
Ex: At school,we study many things.
In Geography, she studies different countries and their people.
He often plays soccer in the afternoon.
2. PRESENT PROGRESSIVE TENSE (THÌ HIỆN TẠI TIẾP DIỄN)
*Form:
-Affirmative form: S + am / is / are + V-ing.
Ex: . I am learning English now.
-Negative form:
S + am / is / are + not + V-ing.
Ex: I’m not learning math now.
-Interrogative form: Am /Is / Are + S + V-ing. . . ?( Yes-No question )
Yes, S + am / is / are.
No, S + am not/ isn’t / aren’t.
Ex: Are you learning English now? – Yes, I am.
*Notes: V+ ing --> V-ing
Ex: Ride + ing --> riding
Walk + ing --> walking

*Usage : Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn dùng để diễn tả hành động đang diễn ra ở hiện tại hoặc ở thời
điểm nói.
*Signals: now, at the moment, at present, right now, today, Look!, Listen!Hurry up!, Be
quiet!, Keep silent!.
Ex: Look! The birds are flying.
*Để hỏi xem bạn hoặc ai đó đang làm gì ta dùng cấu trúc sau:
- What + is/ are + S + doing ..........?
 S + am /. is / are + V-ing....
Ex: What is he doing ?- He is watching television.
What are they doing?- They are playing volleyball.
III/. Modal verbs ( Động từ khiếm khuyết ): can, must
* Nói người nào đó có thể / khơng thể làm việc gì
- S + can + V-infi .
Ex : You can park here.
- S + cannot ( can’t) + V-infi.

* Nói người nào đó phải / khơng được làm việc gì đó .
- S + must + V-infi.
Ex: You must do your homework.
- S + must not (mustn’t) + V-infi.
Ex: You must not turn right.
IV/ VOCABULARY ( Từ vựng)

- Đại từ nhân xưng thường được theo sau bằngø động từ và nó đóng vai trị làm chủ từ ở

- Tính từ sở hữu ln đứng trước một danh từ dùng để chỉ sự sở hữu.

- Ta thấy ở đây :” book” là một danh từ, do vậy đứng trước nó có thể là một tính từ sở hữu,
trong 4 từ trên chỉ có “ my “ là tính từ sở hữu, suy ra đáp án đúng là d. “my”
 NHỮNG ĐIỀU CẦN CHÚ Ý:
- Trước giờ, ta phải dùng giới từ AT.
- Trước tên phương tiện giao thông phải dùng giới từ BY.
- Sống ở nơi nào dùng LIVE IN.

Sống ở nơi nào có số nhà dùng AT.
Trước thứ dùng giới từ ON.
Đi bộ thì dùng WALK hoặc GO...ON FOOT, khơng dùng BY WALK.
IS THERE thì phải dùng mạo từ A hoặc AN.
ARE THERE thì phải dùng ANY.
Trong câu hỏi ở thì hiện tại tiếp diễn : What are you doing? hoặc What is she/ he doing?,
What are they doing ?: Bạn/ chị ấy/ anh ấy/ họ đang làm gì vậy?
Khi trả lời, đối tượng mà chúng ta hỏi đang làm gì thì chúng ta sử dụng động từ của hành động
đó, khơng lập lại doing.
Ex: What are you doing ?( bạn đang làm gì vậy?)
I am watching television.( tơi đang xem ti vi.)
-Khơng được nói: I am doing watch television hoặc I am doing watching television
