<b>1. Warmer: </b>
Asks Ss to list grammar points they have learnt in unit 9, 10, 11.
<b>1. New lesson :</b>

<b>I. “In order to/ So as to”:</b>
- Asks Ss to give out the meaning of “in order
to/ so as to”.
- Give out an example and asks Ss to combine
the sentences.
<i>Ex: The children get up early. They want to </i>
<i>do morning exercises.</i>
- Gives out the answer and consolidates the
knowledge.
- Asks Ss to combine the given sentences to
make compound sentences using “in order to/
so as to”.
<i>1. My brother is learning English. He can to </i>
<i>get a good job.</i>
<i>2. We turn out the lights. We didn’t want to </i>
<i>waste electricity.</i>
<i>3. My father drove carefully. He didn’t want </i>
<i>to cause accidents.</i>
- Calls on some Ss go to the board and write
the answer.
- Checks Ss’ answer and gives out the correct
answer.
II. Requests, offers and promises:
- Asks Ss to list the way to make requests,
offers and promises and responses.
- Consolidates the knowledge and gives out
some examples.
- Answer T’s questions.
- Combine the sentences.
