B. Materials: textbook, pictures, handouts... C. Procedure: Time 5’. Content I. WARM-UP JUMBLED WORDS ONGSTR AGERNST REASQU MECASC REENCS. 10’. Teacher’s and students’ Activities.     . PRESENTATION PRONUNCIATION  Listen and repeat: /str/ /skr/ /skw/ Street Scream Square Strong Screen Squeeze Strange Screw Squeak Strength Scratch Squeal.  Practise reading aloud these sentences:. Lop11.com. - T sticks the posters of jumbled words on the board - T gives instruction: “Now, I have five words here but they don’t have the correct order and you have to rearrange them”. - T asks ss to work in pairs in 1 minute - T calls some ss to write the answer on the board. - T checks and gives the correct answers. - T underlines the sounds /str/, /skr/ and /skw/ and models one time for ss to repeat.. - T models all sounds in words one or two times and emphasizes the differences between them. - T speaks each column and asks ss to repeat. - T provides some words having these sounds. - Ss listen and take note the sounds. - T models the dialogue one time..

III. GRAMMAR - Relative clauses - Omission of relative pronouns. 8’.  FORMS/ NOTES Ex 1: This is the novel. Shakespeare wrote this novel.  This is the novel which/that Shakespeare wrote.  This is the novel Shakespeare wrote. Ex 2: The young man is very tall. I sat next to him on the bus yesterday  The young man whom/who/that I sat next to on the bus yesterday is very tall.  The young man next to whom I sat on the bus yesterday is very tall.  The young man I sat next to him on the bus yesterday is very tall. NOT: The young man I sat on the bus yesterday is very tall. Form: (S+V)N + whom/who/that/which + S +V … (S+V)N + S +V …  Relative pronouns “who, whom, which, that” can be omitted when they are objects in the sentences and there is no preposition in front of it. Ex 3: The movie “Toy Story 3” is very interesting. I like it most.  The movie “Toy Story 3”, which I like most, is very interesting NOT: The movie “Toy Story 3” I like most, is very interesting  We can’t omit the relative pronouns if they are in a non-defining relative clause.. Exercise 2: Combine the following sentences, using a relative clause, and put a relative pronoun in bracket ( ) if it can be omitted. Ex: This is the novel. Shakespeare wrote this novel.  This is the novel (which/that) Shakespeare wrote. 1. The dictionary is very useful. It has 250.000 words. 2. I didn’t like the man. We met him yesterday. 3.
