<b> 1. Present progressive tense: Thì HTTD</b>

S( số ít): He, She, It + is + V-ing...

S( số nhiều): You, We, They + are + V-ing...

I + am + V-ing...

(+) S + is/ are/ am + V-ing...

(-) S + isn’t/ aren’t/ am not+ V-ing...

(?) Is/ Are/ Am + S + V-ing...?

<b>Từ nhận biết</b>

: now, right now, at the moment, at the present, this time, listen !

look !, do you hear?, keep silent ! = Be quiet!



<b>Present progressive tense with </b>

Mang ý nghĩa phàn nàn

<b> </b>

<b> S + am/ is / are + always + V ing</b>

<i> Ex: You are always getting up late in winter.</i>

<i> Bao is always forgetting his homework.</i>

<i> Nam is always watching TV.</i>

<b>2. Past progressive tense: Thì QKTD</b>

<b>Cơng thức: (+) </b>

S + was/ were + V-ing...

(+) S +wasn’t/ weren’t + V-ing...

(?) Was/ Were + S + V-ing...?

-Yes, S + was/ were.

-No, S + was/ were + not.

<b> </b>

<b> Cách dùng:</b>

- Diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra tại một thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ.

Ex: I was watching TV at 8 o’clock last night.

- Diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra ( dùng thì QKTD) có một hành động khác cắt

ngang hoặc xen vào( dùng thì QKĐ).

Ex: When my mother came, I was watching TV.

- Diễn tả hai hành động cùng xảy ra tại một thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ.

Ex: While I was watching TV, my father was reading a newspaper.
