I. Objective:

By the end of the lesson, students are expected:

- to pronouce the sounds /f/ and /v/ in words or statements quite correctly,

- to know how to form, use as well as distinguish adjectives ending with -ing and 
adjectives ending with -ed,

- to know and use the structure "It was not until ... that ..." correctly,
- to use the articles "a", "an", "the".

II. Teaching aids:

- Computer, projector, textbook, board, whiteboard maker ...
III. Teaching techniques:

-Whisper

- Lucky pictures
- Noughts and crosses

- Pair work, group work, individually…

Grammar

Exercise1: Write the adjectival forms 
of the verbs below:

Verb + ing/ ed à Adjective
+ Adjective ending with –ing used 
with nouns referring to things imply 
the active meaning.

+ Adjective ending with -ed used with 
nouns referring to people imply the 
passive meaning.

Example: interest
