The ancient town of Hoi An lies on the river Thu Bon, more than thirty kms to the south of Da
Nang. Hoi An was one of the major old- time commercial ports of the South Asia in th 16 th_{century. It}
is famous for old temples, pagodas, tiles- roof house and narrow streets. Tourists can visit Sa Huynh
and Cham, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the River Thu Bon, Cua Dai beach. In 1999, UNESCO
recognized Hoi An as a World Heritage Site and it has become a very popular tourist destination in
Viet Nam.
