INTRODUCTION

<i><b>a. Trước khẳng định, sau phủ định và ngược lại</b></i>

Peter helped you, didn’t he? He isn’t here now, is he?
You have been there for a long time, haven’t you?

<i><b>b. Note:</b></i>

<i>- Không dùng danh từ riêng trong câu hỏi đuôi, mà phải dung đại từ nhân xưng thay thế.</i>
Mary is beautiful, isn’t she?

Chứ không được dùng Mary is beautiful, isn’t Mary?
His parents are old, aren’t they?

<i><b>- Khi chủ từ trong mệnh đề chính là anyone, anybody, no one, no body, none, neither thì</b></i>
<i><b>chủ từ trong câu hỏi đuôi là they.</b></i>

No one knows, do they? Neither of them complaint, did they?

<i><b>- Nếu mệnh đề chính có các từ phủ định như neither, no, none, no one, no body, nothing,</b></i>

<i><b>scarely, barely, hardly, seldom … thì câu hỏi đi ở thể khẳng định.</b></i>

Nothing was sold, was it? Peter hardly goes to the party, does he?
<i><b>- Nếu chủ từ là this, that thì chủ từ trong câu hỏi đi có thể là it, he, she.</b></i>
<i><b>Ex: That is a very interesting film, isn’t it?</b></i>

<b>That is your new boy friend, isn’t he?</b>
<b>This is a very beautiful girl, isn’t she?</b>

<i><b>- Nếu chủ từ là these, those thì chủ từ trong câu hỏi đi là they</b></i>
Ex: These books are new, aren’t they?

<i><b>- Hình thức câu hỏi đuôi của I am … là aren’t I? hay am I not?</b></i>
Ex: I’m late, aren’t I? <i>(Hay: I’m late, am I not?)</i>
<b>- Hình thức của câu yêu cầu là: will you? </b>

<b>- Câu đề nghị là: shall we?</b>

<i>Come in, will you?</i> <i>Don’t do that, will you?</i>

<i>Let’s go for a walk, shall we?</i> <i>Let’s not study now, shall we?</i>
<b>Special:</b>

- Let’s + V(-to), shall we ? Eg: Let’s go out, shall we?
<i>- (Please +) V(-to) , will you ? (Câu mệnh lệnh)</i> Don’t speak, will you
- I am ……, aren’t I ?

- This / That (is ……), (isn’t) it/he/she ? Eg: This is your boy, isn’t he?

- These / Those (are ……), (aren’t) they ? Those are your cats, aren’t they ?
- There is / are ……, isn’t / aren’t there ?

<b>- Nobody / No one + V(khẳng định) …, auxi / modal (phủ định) they ?</b>
Eg: Noone went out, did they?

<b>- S + never / rarely / seldom / no longer……,VERB (+) + S ?</b>
Eg: David rarely goes out, does he?

<b>- Everyone /everybody/ someone/ ………,……….they ?</b>
<b>Eg: Everyone is at home, aren’t they?</b>

- Everything/ something/ ... <b>, ... it ?</b>
