<b>PHẦN 3: CÁCH ĐỔI MỘT SỐ DẠNG THÔNG DỤNG: </b>
<i><b>D</b><b>ạ</b><b>ng</b><b> 1: Đố</b><b>i v</b><b>ớ</b><b>i d</b><b>ạ</b><b>ng câu tr</b><b>ự</b><b>c ti</b><b>ế</b><b>p là câu trình bày (statement): </b></i>

D.S: Mary

<i><b>D</b><b>ạ</b><b>ng 2</b><b>: Đố</b><b>i v</b><b>ớ</b><b>i d</b><b>ạ</b><b>ng câu tr</b><b>ự</b><b>c ti</b><b>ế</b><b>p là câu h</b><b>ỏ</b><b>i WH- (WH- question): </b></i>

D.S: Mary

<b>said to</b>

Peter “How

<b>did</b>

you

<b>see</b>

my friends and their cars yesterday?”

Đối với câu hỏi WH-, ta cần làm bước chuẩn bị để đưa về dạng câu trình bày rồi đổi.

<i><b>Cách làm</b></i>: đem đặt Vđb <b>DID ra sau ngay ch</b>ủ từ<b>YOU. V</b>ậy ta sẽ thấy DID SEE đứng kế nhau. Xem
ghi chú ở BƯỚC 3, ta suy ra: DID SEE = SAW. Như vậy, ta có câu trực tiếp tạm thời ở dạng như sau:

D.S: Mary

<b>said to</b>

Peter “How you

<b>saw</b>

my friends and their cars yesterday?”

Bây giờ bắt đầu bỏ hết ngoặc kép và dấu chấm hỏi (?) rồi tiến hành đổi theo 4 bước đã hướng dẫn:

D.S: Mary

<b>said to</b>

Peter “How you

<b>saw</b>

my friends and their cars yesterday?”

B1 B2 B3 B2 B2 B4

I.S: Mary

<b>asked</b>

Peter how he

<b>had seen</b>

her friends and their cars the day before.

B1 B2 B3 B2 B2 B4

<i><b>D</b><b>ạ</b><b>ng </b><b>3: Đố</b><b>i v</b><b>ớ</b><b>i d</b><b>ạ</b><b>ng câu tr</b><b>ự</b><b>c ti</b><b>ế</b><b>p là câu h</b><b>ỏ</b><b>i YES/NO (YES/NO question): </b></i>

D.S: Mary

<b>said to</b>

Peter “

<b>Did</b>

you

<b>see</b>

my friends and their motorbikes yesterday?”

Đối với câu hỏi YES/NO, ta cần làm bước chuẩn bịtương tự như đối với cách đổi câu trực tiếp là câu
hỏi WH-. Nhưng trước khi bỏ dấu ngoặc kép và dấu chấm hỏi, ta thêm IF hoặc <i><b>WHETHER</b></i> ngay vị trí
dấu ngoặc kép trước (và <i><b>OR NOT</b></i> ngay vị trí cuối cùng nếu dùng <i><b>WHETHER</b></i>)

Như vậy ta được:

D.S: Mary

<b>said to</b>

Peter “you

<b>saw</b>

my friends and their motorbikes yesterday?”

B1 B2 B3 B2 B2 B4

I.S: Mary

<b>asked</b>

Peter

<b>if</b>

he

<b>had seen</b>

her friends and their motorbikes the day before.

B1 B2 B3 B2 B2 B4

<i><b>D</b><b>ạ</b><b>ng </b><b>4: Đố</b><b>i v</b><b>ớ</b><b>i d</b><b>ạ</b><b>ng câu tr</b><b>ự</b><b>c ti</b><b>ế</b><b>p là câu m</b><b>ệ</b><b>nh l</b><b>ệ</b><b>nh kh</b><b>ẳ</b><b>ng </b><b>đị</b><b>nh (affirmative command): </b></i>

<b>CẦN CHÚ Ý: Có th</b>ể nói <i><b>câu m</b><b>ệ</b><b>nh l</b><b>ệ</b><b>nh kh</b><b>ẳng đị</b><b>nh là câu </b><b>thường đượ</b><b>c b</b><b>ắt đầ</b><b>u b</b><b>ằ</b><b>ng: V</b><b>0</b><b> , Please </b></i>
<i><b>V</b><b>0</b><b> , Would you please V</b><b>0</b><b> , Let’s V</b><b>0</b><b> , …… </b></i>

Ta lấy <b>V0</b> làm chuẩn để đổi. Do đó, khi đổi thì ta phải bỏ đi các chữ <b>PLEASE, WOULD YOU </b>

<b>PLEASE, LET’S, …… Sau đó, ta tiến hành đổi 4 bước như b</b><i><b>ình th</b><b>ường nhưng chỉ</b><b> khác ch</b><b>ỗ bướ</b><b>c </b></i>
<i><b>3 là: Đổ</b><b>i V</b><b>0</b><b> thành TO V</b><b>0</b><b> . </b></i>

<i><b>Please don’t V</b><b>0</b><b> , Would you please not V</b><b>0</b><b> , …… </b></i>

Ta lấy V<b>0 làm chu</b>ẩn để đổi. Do đó, khi đổi thì ta phải bỏ đi các chữ DO (trong chữ<b> DON’T), PLEASE </b>
