Educational aims: Develop student’s love for their home village 2. Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to write a short paragraph describing a story happened in the past – a picnic in the countryside. II. PREPARATIONS: Book, extra board III. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities 1. Warm - up (5’) - Have Ss answer some questions about going on a picnic 1. Have you ever gone on a pinic? 2. When did you go? Where? 3. How did you get there? 4. What did you do? 5. when did you come back home? 6. Do you enjoy it? 2. Pre - writing (10’) - Have Ss look at the pictures and answer the questions. 1. Who are they? 2. Where did they go? 3. How did they get there? 4. What did they bring? 5. What did they do? - Introduce new words: + lay out (v) + picnic site (n) 3. While - writing (18’). We took a bus to a countryside then we walked about 20 minutes to the pinic site next to th river. We put down the blanketand laid out the food.
