<span class='text_page_counter'>(4)</span> Relative Pronouns • Refer back to an antecedent in the main clause. • An antecedent is the noun or noun phrase to which a pronoun refers. • Ex: The boy whom I love is named Jim. – Pronoun: whom – Antecedent: boy.
