SCHOOL BULLYING


What is Bullying?

‘’Behaviour by an individual or group, usually repeated over time, that
intentionally hurts another individual or group either physically or emotionally’’


In most cases the bullying that has taken place is verbal
In many cases it is linked to the use of homophobic language or to do with
learning difficulties and perceived learning difficulties

As a school we need to be much more aware of the language we use
and its impact on others. If something is offensive to a member of our
school community it shouldn’t be happening. We cannot use the
excuse of “its just a joke” or “its just banter”
