Activity 9.1: Data Quiz
In this activity, you will answer a series of questions pertaining to selection of
the appropriate software and hardware combinations for the Ferguson and
Bardell, Inc. system.

Exercise 1:
Playing the Data Quiz
In this exercise, the instructor will divide the class into two teams for a data
quiz game. After the teams have been formed, the instructor will pose questions
to each team, and the teams will take turns answering the questions for points.
At the end of the game, the team with the most points wins.
The rules are fairly straightforward. Each team receives a turn to answer a
question related to the Ferguson and Bardell, Inc. case study and the topics
discussed in the course material. The instructor chooses each question. Team
members confer among themselves, and a team representative presents the
question’s answer to the instructor. If the team answers the question correctly,
that team receives a point. If they fail to answer the question correctly, then the

other team gets an opportunity to answer the opposing team’s question. The
teams will alternate opportunities to answer questions from the instructor.
In the event that a question is not answered correctly by either team, its point
will not be awarded. The instructor will keep score on the classroom
whiteboard.
