Aim: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know how to write a paragraph about their last picnic 2. Knowledge: * Vocabulary: put down, lay out, catch, picnic site * Grammar/ Structures: Simple Past Tense * Pronunciation: 3. Skills: Writing and speaking II. PREPARATION: 1. Teacher: Pictures, overhead, cellophanes 2. Students: The text, vocabulary III. PRODUCES: 1. Warm up/ Check- up: - lets Ss watch a video about a picnic and asks them to take note some activities in the video 2. New lesson:. Teacher’s activities. Students’ activities. *)Lead-in: - introduces Ba and his friends with their last picnic to the countryside. I.pre-writing:. a)Act.1: Pre-teach - (to) put down: /put,put/................ Ex: We put down our suicases - (to) lay out-/laid,laid/ .................. Ex: We laid out the food on the ground - (to) catch:/caught, caught/ Ex: I caught a bus to school. - picnic site (Example) - elicits first and says out the words - writes and checks - instruct Ss to read. - run them through & copy down. b)Act.2: Discover the pictures ? Where did they go ? What did they take with ? How did they get to the picnic side ? What did they lay out ? Which game did they play ? What time did they run to the bus stop ? When did they arrive home. - sticks 5 pictures on the board and ask the above questions. (Pictures at P-27) - asks Ss to ask and answer with these Qs. - gets feedback.. - try out and repeat chorally- individually - give the meaning& make sentences - copy down.. - look at the pictures and answer the Qs. in individuals. - work in pairs with the pictures. - ask and answer to the front.

III.post-writing:. Exhibition - collects 3 drafts from Ss and put them in the overhead. - helps the whole to correct. - asks them to copy down.. - share and compare their work. - correct paragraphs with teacher. Possible paragragh It was a beautiful day, my friends and I went on a picnic. We took a bus to the countryside and then walked about 20 minutes to the picnic site next to the river. We put down the blankets and laid out the food. After meal, we played the games “ What song is it ? ” and Blind man/s buff. Late in the afternoon we went fishing. We enjoyed our picnic.
