dialogue box which you can cancel the
first time you enter SPSS

update calculations, tables or charts if you
change the data

Let’s open the data file, use File > Open >
Data (or double click on the file …)
Click on the Variables icon to get an
overview of each variable

and quickly grasped. Frequencies also
form the very foundation of most
explanations of probability. They are an
excellent place to begin understanding any
data you may work with

There is a lot of clutter here. Hence, we always
delete unnecessary Output, and annotate the
rest as you go. Click on all the test at the top of
screen and press Delete on your keyboard.
To annotate your output use Insert > New Text
which provides a text box in which you can write
a comment.

Back to the output: itself, this can be edited.
Double click on the table to bring up the
Formating Toolbar. (If it does not appear use
View > Toolbar)

Pivoting control is a useful device, which
enables you change the look of your
tables.
Click on the icon
EXPORTING YOUR OUTPUT TO WORD
Output can be exported as a Word RTF
file or Text file.
Use File > Export and select the
appropriate entry under Type
