LESSON PLAN 7 UNIT 12 : LET’S EAT Period 74 - Lesson 2 : A1-2 AIMS : Teacher helps students use and practice the structures “I don’t like….either; I like ….too; Neither do I, So do I” OBJECTIVES : By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use and practice the structure. MATERIALS : poster, pictures, teacher’s book, student’s book,… WORK ARRANGEMENT : Teacher-whole class, individual work, pair work,… TIME : 45 minutes. ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS : It may be difficult for students to use and practice the structure. PRODURE : Stages WARM UP (5 minutes). Do you like cucumber? … PRESENTATION - Recalls the conversation between (15 minutes) Hoa and her aunt, then ask : + “Hoa wants to talk what vegetables she likes, what would she say?” → “I like spinach and cucumbers”. + Her aunt expresses her agreement, what does she say? → “So do I/ I do, too”. + And Hoa wants to talk what meat she dislikes, what would she say? → “I don’t like pork”. What does her aunt say? → “Neither do I/ I don’t either”. MODEL SENTENCES : a. Hoa : I like spinach and cucumbers. Her aunt : So do I/ I do too. b. Hoa : I don’t like pork. Her aunt : Neither do I/ I don’t either. USE : Used to express preferences. - Asks students to give some examples. PRACTICE Technique : Use word cue drill. (15 minutes) - Asks students to run through the word cue first. - Teacher models. - Asks them to practice the statements and then response. - Asks them to work in pairs. - Monitors and corrects.
