Language focus: - Phonics: the stress marks(’) of words:’crocodile,’elephant,’wonderful,’beautiful. III. Teaching methods: - Communicative approach. - Techniques: Ask and answer (say individually);Work in pairs/ groups;Discuss. IV. Resources: CD and radio, students’ book V. Procedure: Teacher and student’s activities I : Basic activities Warm up - Play: Why or why not? song Let’s sing. II:Practical activities 1. Listen and repeat. - Ss pay attention to the stress marks(’). - Listen and note. - Ss learn to produce the sound of the words: ’crocodile,’elephant,’wonderful,’beautiful. - Repeat in chorus. - Read in groups./ in pairs. - Give out and check. 2. Listen and circle. Then say the sentences aloud - Ss look at the sentences, read in individual. - Listen to the tape and circle. Develop: Speaking and lisstening skills. - Ss look after , solve problems and study themselves. - Studious and obedient students and love their friends. II. Language focus: - Vocabulary: summer, summer holidays, sea, hotel, sancastle... - Sentence patterns: - Where are going this summer? – I’m going to.... III. Teaching methods: - Communicative approach. - Techniques: Ask and answer (say individually);Work in pairs/ groups;Discuss. IV. Resources: CD and radio, students’ book V. Point and say - Ss look at the picture and identify animals in each picture. - Note down. - Ss read aloud the new words. - Some ss read individual before the class. - Look and say Yes if the new words right and No if they are wrong then correct. - Present the way to ask and answer about animals. - Where are going this summer? – I’m going to....- Practice speaking in pair. - Some pairs say in front of class. Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and tick the picture they hear. Ss guess to tick the pictures - Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and tick. Check their guess. Compare the answer with the partner. - Play the recording again pupils check their answers and write them to complete the sentences. T give the answer: 1 He’s going to ……….. 2. He’s going to stay in a…… 3. He’s going to…... 4. He’s going to eat………. - Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text. 5. Look and write - Have pupils open their books to Page 67. Get Ss to identify the places in the pictures Get Ss to read the questions and use the real information about their places to answer. - Ss read silently and answer questions. - Ss trade their answers within pairs for correction Ask Ss to read the answers aloud to the class.
