OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: + Talk about the difference between life at present and life in the past. + Use the structure “Used to + V-inf” to talk about the things they used to do. II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, pictures, hang-outs III. PROCEDURES:. TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES 1/ Warm-up: (6’) Matching - Divide class into two groups, give each group a picture and ask them to match the correct activities, which group has more correct activities is winner.. - Lead to the lesson. 2/ Pre-speaking: (15’) - Review the structure to talk about the events in the past, but now don’t exist. Ex: In the past, people used tolive in the small houses. Now, they live in the big houses. 3/ While-speaking: (14’) - Ask Ss to work in pairs, looking at the picture and the words listed, talk about different between life in the past and now by using Used to.. STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES - Play game, match the activites in their picture. + live in small houses + walk + play hide and seek + don’t have electricity + live in big houses + go by bike or motorbike + play videogames + have electricity - Listen. - Remind.. - Work in pairs. + People used to walk. Now they go by bike or motorbike. + There wasn’t electricity in the home. Now there is electricity everywhere..

PREPARATIONS: Textbook, pictures (computer) III. PROCEDURES:. TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES 1/ Warm-up: (6’) - Ask Ss to look at the picture and match the names. STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES - Match. 1. Snow White and seven drafts 2. How the tiger got his stripes. 3. The lost shoe - Lead to the lesson. 2/ Pre-reading: (14’) - Give meaning of some new words by using pictures. I.
