OBJECTIVES: - Competencies: Will be able to use the simple past tense and know about some of irregular verbs and regular verbs . - Focus on listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. II. TEACHING AIDS:. Extra boards, pictures , tape , cassette . III .PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities - Ask Ss some questions - Give help if necessary - Listen to ss’ answers. - Ask Ss to look at the picture in the book, then introduce the situation of the lesson . - Explain some new words to Ss. - Have Ss read new words in chorus and individually.  Checking technique : Matching - Ask Ss to match the words with their meaning - Ask Ss to look at the book and listen to the tape then answer the question - Ask Ss to listen to the tape and repeat after the tape . - Call on some Ss to give. Students’ activities - listen to teacher’ questions - Answer. - Look at the picture and listen to the introduction - Take note - Read loudly. - Work in pair/ individual - Listen & answer - Listen & repeat. Content 1.
