Knowledge : By the end of this lesson students will be able to: - know the way to give directions to a certain place. - know about vocabulary used to give directions 2. Skills - Students know how to write a letter giving directions to a certain place - Students know how to give directions - Students know how to do exercises such as describing a place, guessing meaning, … 3. Attitude - Students feel interested in the lesson with positive attitude. - Help students know how to write about direction. Therefore, they can know how to ask and answer about direction in daily life. II. Teaching methods: Presentation, role play, pair work, individual work, … III. Teaching aid - Visual aids (power point, projector, computer, speaker,…) - Textbook, chalk, board, … IV. Anticipated problem: - Students may have difficulty in giving directions in letters. V. T divides class into 2 teams. Each team will choose 4 pieces of papers to ask and answer about directions on the map in order to find where. - Pay much attention to T’s. the post office, car park, petrol station, cinema,. guidance.. stadium, zoo, airport, hospital. The winner will be the team possesses more correct answers. - T listen and correct errors. TASK 3 : Writing a letter of giving directions - T divides class into 3 groups to do this task. Ask 3 groups write a letter to your friend . Supposing that your house is Lovely House on the map, telling him/her the way to your house from train station. - Tell groups to produce their own writing. - go around the class , provide help when necessary -Show 3 letter writing of groups on the board and correct in front of class. - Feedback.. - Produce their own writings..
