New lesson *Activity 1: Listen and repeat (10’) 1. Listen and repeat - Ask the students open the book on page 10. - T asks Ss to read the title - Ss: read - Tell Ss that they are going to practice saying the sounds of the letters l and n in the words Linda and night respectively. - T writes the letters l on the board. Play the recording and ask pupils to repeat a few times. - Ss: listen and repeat (chorally - individually). - Then T writes the words Linda on the board, play the recording and ask pupils to repeat a few more times..

Warm up (4’) - Get three pairs of pupils to go to the front of the class to chant Hello, friends! and do actions. 2. New lesson: *Activity 4: Read and answer (10’). - Ask Ss read the task. - Introduce the text, look at the picture and elicit the content. - Ask some question about the text. 1.What is the girl’s name? 2.Where is she from? 3. Focus pupils on their names, their hometowns and the name of their school. Check comprehension. - Give pupils time to do the task independently. Go around and offer help - Get pupils to swap their answers before checking as a class. - If there is time, ask one pupil to write the answer on the board. *Activity 6: Project (8) - Tell pupils that they are going to do a project. Explain the activities and check understanding. - Give pupils a small card. Let pupils copy the four categories from the book onto their cards. - Ask pupils to write the information about themselves - Encourage them to decorate their cards.
