The class includes 25 girls and 15 boys. Most of them are quite good at English, but someone is lazy and naughty. As for scheduling, class will meet three times a week for 45 minutes each. Our classroom will be equipped with a computer, internet, projector and black board. II.. Objectives:. By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Use lexical items related to the topic ‘Pollution’ to talk about types of pollution. - Use words and phrases showing cause/ effect relationships to describe the causes and effects of pollution. - Talk about the causes and effects of water pollution as well as ways to reduce it. III. Time: About 45 minutes IV. Teaching aids: computer, internet, projector, speaker, video, black board,… V. Anticipate problems: - Ss might be weaker than T’s expected and therefore the reading text will be too difficult. - Ss might be get stuck with some new words while reading the text and therefore be unable to find answers to detailed questions - Ss might not understand T’s instructions. - Technology (computer/ projector) won’t be working..

Can you list some kinds of pollution? 2.Do you know about water pollution?What is it? -T calls some Ss to stand up and answers these questions. * Expected answers: 1. There are many kinds of pollution such as air pollution, land pollution, noise pollution, water pollution,.... 2. -Yes, I do. Water pollution is the contamination of any body of water (lakes, groundwater, oceans, etc). 10’. Task1: - T requires Ss work in groups to discuss the solutions to water pollution. - To help them focus their ideas, T can suggest they make two subheadings: * Point source pollution * Non-point source pollution -Ss can then go through each cause in the presentation and think of the solutions. For example:. Ss’s activities - Ss watch the video.. Purpose -Lead Ss into the lesson.. -Ss work individually and find out the answers.. - Improve their individual working skill.. -Ss answer these questions.. -Make them more interested in this topic.. -Ss work in groups to discuss the solutions to water pollution.. - Improve their group working skill..

If the class size is small and time allows, all the groups can present..
