- Học sinh nhìn vào bài tập 1 trang 42, hiểu được các động từ trong hợp. Sau đó đọc câu
truyện và điền vào chỗ trống.Yêu cầu các em hiểu dược nội dung câu chuyện.
- Học sinh viết từ vựng và dị đáp án của cơ và chép vào vở

2. Imagine you are the farmer. (Chép vào vở)
*Notes: The past simple tense
*Some regular and irregular verbs in the past simple tense:
- burn – burned: đốt cháy
- appear – appeared: xuất hiện
- light – lit/ lighted: thắp sáng
- graze – grazed: gặm cỏ
One day, as I was in the field and my buffalo was grazing nearby, a tiger came. The tiger
asked why the strong buffalo was my servant and I was its master. I told the tiger that I had
something called wisdom. The tiger wanted to see it, but I told it I left it at home that day.
Then I tied the tiger to a tree with a rope because I didn’t want it to eat my buffalo. I went to
get some straw that I said was my wisdom and I burned the tiger. The tiger escaped, but today
it still has black stripes from the burns.

Adjective + ly => adverbs of manner
*Report teacher’s speech:
1. You should review the past simple tense. (Nam)
=> She said Nam (he) revise the past simple tense.
2. You should improve your English pronunciation. (Ba)=> She said Ba (he) should improve
his English pronunciation.
3. You should practice reading skill. (Lan)
=> She said Lan (she) should practice reading skill.
